According to the officer identified as Thomas Nyanga'u, no school will be allowed to operate without proper toilets.

"We have plans to start a crackdown from next week Monday to check on the toilets' condition across all Nyamira schools.

"During this rainy season learners may be infected with diseases due to poor toilets in the region," he said.

Nyanga'u called on school heads to utilize CDF funds well so that they can construct enough toilets for all learners.

He challenged leaders in Nyamira County to ensure the promises they gave during the last year's campaigns to improve the state of schools especially infrastructure are fulfilled.

"We have politicians who promised to help schools in the region to construct classrooms and toilets.

"So far no leader has come out to fulfill the promise but we expect the promises to be fulfilled failure to which the electorates will vote them out in 2022," he noted.
