What was meant to be an interactive forum between Kakamega gubernatorial aspirant Marble Muruli and the constituents on Monday turned out chaotic as residents scrambled for the cash she dished out.
It was a bloody showdown as some people sustained injuries and are now asking the aspirant to apologize and compensate the traders for the injuries and losses incurred.
During the milee, an MCA is said to have escaped with unspecified amount of money meant for bodaboda operators.
On Tuesday, the County traders' association chairman Ben Oundo told journalists that the politician should foot medical bills for those injured and compensate traders whose property was destroyed during the chaos.
Ms Muruli, who is based in the UK had contested for the seat in 2013 but her name was omitted on the ballot for lack of a degree and has since acquired one.
She has promised Governor Wycliffe Oparanya a run for his money in a race that has also attracted area Senator Dr Bonny Khalwale.
