The media platform being the mirror of the community has been challenged to scrutinise their reports before they report to the public.
Speaking on Tuesday at a Kisii hotel retired principal Robinson Otwori said that most news men have been reporting some issues without scrutinising them.
“Without the media we all know that we cannot get any information on what is happening or what is trending but I wish that they should first scrutinise their reports before they disseminate them,” said Otwori.
“We also know that negative stories make good news but let us be objective in our reporting without manipulating the situation,” added Otwori.
In addition, he said that it will be well for all journalists to always have the facts right before reporting to the public.
