The Judicial Service Commission is set to kick off interviewing shortlisted candidates for the Chief Justice position on Monday next week.

The exercise will also be used in interviewing candidates for the position of Deputy Chief Justice and the court of the Supreme Court. 

According to JSC, the exercise will be completed by October 2016. 

The commission will be interviewing six candidates for the Chief Justice Commission 13 for the seat of Deputy Chief Justice and 18 others for the post of Supreme Court judge. 

Candidates shortlisted for the CJ’s position are judges Smokin Wanjala of the Supreme Court, his Appellate counterparts Roselyne Nambuye, Alnashir Visram and David Maraga as well as Justice Mshagha Mbogholi-Msagha of the High Court and Senior Counsel, Justice (Rtd) Nzamba Kitonga.
