It is 50 days since a chopper crashed into Lake Nakuru while aboard five passengers.
Three bodies and the wreckage of the chopper have since been recovered.
However, two people are still missing.
Those still missing and presumed dead is John Mapozi and Sam Gitau.
Those who were recovered were identified as Athony Kipyegon, Captain Apollo Malowa and Veronicah Muthoni.
Sourced privy to the recovery operation has hinted there are no more hopes of ever finding the remains of the two.
Already several teams of the divers have left the lake leaving only a few searchers who have slowed down on the mission.
"It is human nature to give up when hopes dwindle, it has been long and we must tune to reality," a source told this writer.
Other sources said Governor Lee Kinyajui has convened a meeting to be attended by families of victims and state agencies to discuss the way forward.
The meeting will reportedly take place on December 18, 2017.
