Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Richard Tongi has now slammed a secession bill being pushed by the National Super Alliance (NASA) MP in both houses and said it’s just a waste of time as it won’t pass as long as Jubilee is still in office.
According to the MP, the bill is being pushed to fulfill the self-interest of NASA leader Raila Odinga of becoming a president and urged them to drop it as it won’t succeed.
“They know very well jubilee has numbers in both houses and what they are pushing is not of public interest but to feed the ego of Raila and its high time they drop it instead of wasting time and resources,” said Tong’I
His sentiment comes at a time Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has maintained that the NASA coalition is behind his bill and he will table it once parliament resumes.
The bill is primarily pushing to split Kenya into two countries - the People's Republic of Kenya and the Central Republic of Kenya.
