A second SGR train arrived in Nairobi after a protracted delay occasioned by a cargo shortage yesterday.Kenya Railways Managing Director Atanas Maina said that the train was only allowed to leave Mombasa after it had loaded enough cargo.''The train left Mombasa for Nairobi on Saturday at 5:30 a.m with 56 wagons, 69 containers 106 teus. It arrived at Nairobi freight terminal at 3:30 p.m after which it was shunted to the inland container depot,'' Mr. Atanas Maina said, according to the Daily Nation. The delay has fueled concern that traders are still opting for the expensive road transport.
