Boys Town Secondary School in Garissa Township constituency is set to have a new school bus before the end of 2017.
This is according to area legislator, Aden Duale.
Speaking during a prize giving day ceremony in the school on Saturday, Duale stated that he will ensure the institution gets a sixty seater bus to help ferry students to seminars, symposiums and even in other academic contests across the county.
"In the financial year 2016/17 we shall purchase a sixty seater new school bus. I will ensure this actually happens," said Duale.
Regarding the acute teacher shortage in Garissa institutions, the legislator issued that he will ask the Teacher's Service Commission (TSC) to allocate more slots to the region in this year's employment exercise.
In the 2015 KCSE results, Boys Town Secondary School recorded a mean grade of 5.4 with a number of students joining university.
