A section of football fans in Kisumu has sworn that they will never ever watch NTV after the TV station failed to air the world cup match between Brazil and Switzerland.
The Kisumu residents expressed their anger and lamented that the TV station was misleading them, as they had advertised that they would air the world cup tournament live from Russia.
The angry fans said that the TV station had even erected a billboard beside the road in your way to Kondele roundabout from Kibuye.
"We were happy to hear our own local station will air the world cup matches live from Russia but it looks like it is a scam as they are not airing all games. They even advertised that in a billboard in Kondele. From today henceforth I will never watch NTV. I am very angry at them," said Ben Oluoch.
The football fans from the Lakeside city said disappointment from the TV station started on Friday when they failed to broadcast the game between Portugal and Spain.
"They started on a higher note by airing the game between Egypt and Uruguay. On the same day, Portugal and Spain were playing but they did not broadcast. We thought it was a technical problem but they failed to air the game between Brazil and Switzerland. It is either they air all games or leave it. We are so angry. No more NTV," Byron Otieno, a football fan in Kisumu said.
