Kisii County government and other security agents have been challenged to come up with measures to help end increasing number of street boys and prostitutes in Kisii town.

According to Kisii Central Community Policing Chairman Stephen Maziwa, that can only be achieved if security agents can work together to put measures on how to end the menace in Kisii town.

"There is an increase of the number of street boys and prostitutes we need to come up with measures so that we can end this in our town,” said Maziwa.

He said that the County Assembly of Kisii through its members is supposed to pass some Bills which will have measures of the same.

Maziwa also raised concern that many young boys were dropping out of school to join bodaboda sector.

“It is unfortunate that we are not going to have leaders in future since young boys have dropped from school to join the bodaboda sector without knowing the effects of dropping out of school,” he said.

He was addressing journalists on Wednesday in Kisii town when he was enlightening area residents on how community policing works in ensuring security.
