Security has been beefed ahead of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) practical examinations that will begin on Monday.
The papers to be done include French, German, Music, Kenyan Sign language as well as Home Science.
The practicals will be conducted ahead of the written examinations which have been slated to start from November 7 to 30.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination have been scheduled to run between November 1 and 3.
Knec acting Chief Executive Officer Mercy Karogo has revealed that the council is already prepared for the national exams.
“I want to wish them well and they will do well. Measures have been put in place to ensure that candidates sit the examination at the appropriate time.”
According to the Nation, Education CS Fred Matiang’i said that the government already put in place adequate measures to ensure credibility in the exercise.
“I will be coming before this committee to brief it on measures we have taken in relation to the administration of national examinations this year,” Dr Matiang’i told National Assembly Education Committee chaired by Emuhaya MP Wilbur Otichilo.
