Security has been beefed ahead of this year’s Mombasa International Show. The show, which is scheduled to kickoff on August 30th to 3rd September, 2017 at the Mkomani showground in Mombasa, has attracted stakeholders from various parts of the world.
International exhibitors from Eastern African countries such as Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda are expected to grace the event, which is held annually.
More than 170 exhibitors are expected to attend the show. Some of the big names of exhibitors who will be at the function include Base Titanium, Urithi Sacco and Kwale Sugar.
President Uhuru Kenyatta will open the show on Thursday 31st August while Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho will join other county officials in gracing the event on Saturday 2nd August.
According to ASK Coast Branch caretaker committee member Mrs. Anisa Abdallah, the organizers of the event agreed on the theme “Promoting Innovation And Technology In Agriculture And Trade” to order to provide the attendants understand the latest technology in the field of agriculture.
“As a society, it is our aim to spearhead the adoption of new technology for sustainable, profitable and efficient farming in Kenya. There is so much to learn in terms of technology in Agriculture,” s3aid Mrs. Anisa, as quoted by Baraka FM.
