According to Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa, the annual teachers’ conference will need more security, to ensure its conducted safely.

Speaking to the press on Sunday, Marwa said they had deployed more officers to various parts including hotels and other entertainment spots.

He further urged hoteliers to ensure they maintain high levels of cleanliness after two people were confirmed dead and 27 others treated and discharged following an outbreak of Cholera.

More than 10,000 primary school head teachers from across the country are expected to converge in the coastal city to deliberate on education matters.

Marwa has also thanked all leaders in the region including Governor Joho for ensuring there is enough security in the region during this period.
