Nakuru county commissioner Joshua Nkanatha has promised residents of improved security this festive season.
Speaking Thursday, Nkanatha said police officers will be deployed in most of the towns in the county to beef up security amid increased visitors flocking the region for the four-day holidays.
He added that officers who had gone on leave have since been recalled in a bid to forestall any terrorist attacks.
He also called for a close partnership between locals and security officers in order to ensure total security.
Most towns in the country have upped their security measures following a terrorist attack in Belgian capital Brussels on March 22.
The recent killings of 19 suspected al Shabab militants by Kenya Defence Forces in Somalia a few days ago have also raised fears of retaliatory attacks especially during this Easter holidays.
