The Mombasa County government has assured tourists, locals and other visitors who are expected to visit the region during the Christmas celebrations of security.Mombasa County Commissioner Evans Achoki said measures have been put in place to ensure locals and other visitors are well protected.Addressing journalists on Monday, Achoki said security agencies have been deployed in the Coastal city and its environs and have intensified patrols in various parts of the town to beef up security so as to prevent any cases of attacks.Achoki further said all roads leading to the Moi International Airport and the standard gauge railway station in Miritini will also be manned by mobile traffic patrol to ensure passengers arrive on time.The county commissioner said police officers will provide security to all shopping malls and churches within Mombasa County, adding that adequate police officers have also been deployed in all five public beaches in Mombasa.“Measures are already in place to enhance security.
