Security has been beefed up in Narok town and its environs during this Easter holidays as local and international tourists flock into the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Narok County Police Commander Mr. Smollets Munyianzi said patrols have been intensified and security personnel are on high alert in a bid to ensure the residents and visitors enjoy an incident free holiday.
He said traffic crackdown and patrols on the Nairobi- Narok highway have also been enhanced to avert any accidents and ensure motorists adhere to the traffic rules.
“We are not taking chances and want to assure the residents and our visitors to the Maasai Mara and elsewhere that they are safe and can enjoy their stay here,” Munyianzi said.
Meanwhile, local and foreign tourists are flocking into the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve for the Easter holidays.
