Police officers in Kisii county were on Tuesday morning deployed outside Kisii law courts ahead of a petition challenging the win of Bonchari MP John Oyioka.
Oyioka's supporters and those of his opponent John Opore crowded at the gate of the court ready for the crucial ruling.
Opore filed the petition claiming that Oyioka was not validly elected in last year's polls.
Opore told the court that IEBC failed to conduct the exercise in a free and fair manner.
The former MP also claimed that his supporters and agents were intimidated by Oyioka's supporters.
He wants the court to nullify Oyioka's win and order IEBC to conduct fresh elections.
Judge Antony Ndungu is expected to deliver his ruling over the matter today Tuesday February 27, 2018.
