An election security meeting in Kisumu ended in chaos on Tuesday.
This is after Governor Jack Ranguma clashed with Nyando MP Fred Outa.
Political candidates from the county were meeting with police, National Cohesion and Integration Commission and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials.
During the meeting, Ranguma and Mr Outa, who is seeking Senate seat traded words over the recent death of a resident said to be the governor's supporter.
Ranguma will be defending his seat as an independent candidate where he will face off with ODM’s Anyang Nyo’ngo in the August 8 polls.
