Kisii county government under the ministry of lands, psychical planning housing and urban development has put measures to reorganise the town as one way creating enough space to all business people.
According to the CEC for lands, psychical planning housing and urban development Moses Onderi, they have selected a committee which will help in reorganising the town.
Onderi said that due to development projects which the county has done like putting streetlights along the streets of the CDB there has been an increase of traders in the town leading to congestion.
Therefore, the selected committee in collaboration with the business community will work together in reorganising the town so that each business person can get a better place.
“For the last three financial years the administration of the county has made the town attracted more business since we installed the streetlights and constructed the pathways,” said Onderi.
“As a ministry we are aware that there is a scramble of space in our town but we have put up measures in place of making sure that the town is reorganised for everyone to get an opportunity," added Onderi.
