An inconsistent Raila Odinga would after all serve shortly in his new capacity as people's president if at all his plans wok 'perfectly'.

In a fully parked Uhuru Park last week, Raila took oath of office in a ceremony that was snubbed by his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka.

Although he is yet to appoint his Cabinet Secretaries leave alone identifying his office, Raila is now calling for fresh polls in August.

"I will not overthrow Uhuru Kenyatta. However, he remains illegitimate and that is the point," he told BBC in a short interview on Wednesday.

Interestingly, despite being in 'office', Raila added: "We are pushing for fresh polls by August. That is when Kenyans will communicate resoundingly again."

Based on his own admission of pushing another election, it is dramatic that Raila concedes that the swearing-in function remains a mockery of the century.

How, he will push for an election given that Uhuru was installed legally remains a mystery but political scientist Gideon Mamboleo however terms the push 'possible.

"He is probably pushing for a referendum for some changes in the constitution. That is the only legal channel."
