Mumias East MP Ben Washiali has said that the process of selling Jubilee agenda in Western Kenya is still hard since the people have not yet accepted Jubilee in the area.
Speaking to the Star newspaper on phone yesterday, Washiali claimed that the grounds were still 'hostile' but they were going to use Jubilee's development record to woo voters to the government side before 2017 approaches.
"we are facing a lot of opposition from the ground. This is because the people have not yet been enlightened on the development record of the Jubilee government. However, we plan on enlightening them and possible winning their votes," Washiali told the Star.
This comes after Jubilee party named its campaign teams and in the Western region, the team is made up of Hamisi MP Charles Gimose, Daniel Baraza, Former Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, Teso South MP Mary Emase and Washiali.
Washiali believes that the electricity connectivity, free maternity, Sh3bn bailout of Mumias sugar company and monthly stipends for the elderly will come in handy during the campaigns for the Jubilee government.
