Led by their vice chair professor John Lonyangapuo and Busia County senator Amos Wako the committee took issue with the governor for taking the Senate for granted and want him presented before it on Monday.

The House team had summoned Dr Mutua to respond to audit queries after he failed to appear before the Machakos County Public Accounts Committee on previous occasions.

The committee members said it was illogical for Dr Mutua to claim that he was asked to provide documents for the Meru County executive instead of Machakos.

On Wednesday, governor Mutua survived an ouster after an impeachment motion flopped after it failed to meet the threshold.
