Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi has accused the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders of evoking wrong emotions from their supporters through the messages they give out.

According to Wamatangi, it is wrong for the NASA leaders to reiterate that only one tribe from the country is being subjected to police brutality.

In his view, Kenya is an inclusive nation and thus it is wrong for the NASA coalition to accuse the police of only targeting the Luo community in the country.

"The NASA coalition leaders are trying to evoke wrong emotions from their supporters. It is wrong for them to accuse the police of only targeting the Luo community. Kenya is an all inclusive nation and nobody is targeting anybody," reiterated Wamatangi.

Wamatangi made the remarks on Tuesday on NTV's AmLive show. He was responding to Miguna Miguna who quoted the Kenya National Commission of Human Rights (KNCHR) report that quoted that 35 out of the 37 killed during post-election were from the Luo community.

The lawmaker further pointed out that the opposition should have presented their irreducible minimums to parliament for debate to determine what is achievable and not achievable.

"NASA should have presented their irreducible minimums to parliament. That way, we could have determined what is achievable and not achievable," added Wamatangi.
