Addressing the press on Wednesday, the senator accused some politicians of acting like children.

Wamatangi said it is time for politicians to conduct themselves in manner that will see Kenyans have trust in them.

“It is annoying to see some politicians engage in abusive talks and confrontations,” he said.

The senator added that politicians must take their mandate seriously and stop politics which he said is not helping the country.

Wamatangi further cautioned politicians to desist from using funerals and church services to attack their opponents and critics.

“Politicians must respect funerals and churches, these venues are not for politicking,” he said.

Wamatangi said the country needs to move forward irrespective of one’s tribe or ethnicity.

He added that ethnicity will continue to haunt the country if leaders do not take up the initiative of uniting Kenyans.
