Mombasa senator Hassan Omar wants the National Cohesion and Integration Commission \(NCIC), the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Police to take stern action against politicians perpetuating violence and incitement in their rallies.Omar said State agencies mandated to tame hate mongers and violent politicians must act fast on perpetrators.He warned that the country will be staring at possible chaos if hate mongers, inciters and propagandists are allowed to roam freely.“The NCIC, the police, the DPP and the DCI must act tough on hate mongers who want to take this country to violence,” said Omar on Tuesday, during an interview on Citizen TV.In reference to the Monday chaos pitting ODM politicians in Migori County, Omar said intolerance among politicians threatens the country’s peace ahead of the August 8 general election.The Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant said that some politicians have not learnt from the 2007/2008 post election violence.He urged Kenyans to shun politicians who advocate for violence, saying “Kenyans must not be swayed by politicians who use violence to seek support.”The senator also warned youths against being used to disrupt peace by selfish politicians.
