Nyamira Senator Okong'o Mong'are is calling for speedy investigations into the alleged disappearance of Sh5.3 billion at the Health ministry.Addressing members of the public at Kenyenya Dispensary in West Mugirango constituency on Sunday, Mong'are urged the agencies working to unravel the mystery to conduct thorough investigations and ensure the suspects who siphoned public funds are brought to book."I am challenging the authorities working on the scandal to fast track the report. We are waiting for it keenly as members of the Senate," said Mong'are. "As a member of the Senate Public Accounts Committee, I know when an internal auditor has given an audit report, that report is conclusive and we don't want other busy bodies to come and do cover-ups," added Mong'are. He further defended Auditor General Edward Ouko over corruption allegations leveled against him.
