A Jubilee senator has asked the opposition to believe in the country's constitution and the rule of law.

Uasin Gishu Senator Prof. Margret Kamar has further faulted the opposition following its decision to transform the National Super Alliance (NASA) to the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Speaking to the press at Simatwet Primary school in Moiben constituency after casting her vote, Prof. Kamar wondered what the opposition will be resisting in the country's devolved unit of governance.

"Every county is now taking care of its resources and gets a share of finances from the national government and I wonder what this NRM will be resisting," noted Prof. Kamar.

"It's time we believed in our constitution and we must believe in the rule of law not creating anarchy," she added.

The Senator, however, called for talks between elected leaders as well as Kenyans after the elections."We need to sit and ask ourselves what problems we are facing as a country that we are not seeing," Kamar said.

"But for now we should respect the Supreme Court's decision that we hold a repeat poll within 60 days," she added.
