He was speaking this at Kenyenya SDA in West Mogirango constituency in Bonyamatuta ward, Nyamira on Saturday during a fundraising where he donated Sh20,000.

"I urged you my fellow Christians to pray for our country, leaders and yourselves, because we are heading to general elections, we don't want to have any chaos during that time," said Mongare.

He also thanked the president for promising to deal with PEV victims from the larger Gusii region, and urged him to take his action fast and deliver as soon as possible.

"I thank the president of his promise to deal with PEV compensation, and I also urge him to make it as soon as possible, we forget this once and for all," he added.

The Gusii leaders have been complaining of the government sidelining the PEV victims from the larger Gusii region, but settling those from other counties.

"How can the Jubilee government settle their counties' PEV but sideline us, they must know that we were much affected and they must settle our people as soon as possible or else we demonstrate," one of the leaders said.
