Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has downplayed reports that there may be a possible fallout in the opposition CORD ahead of the 2017 general election.
Speaking on Saturday during a Wiper Party public rally in Taita-Taveta county, the Secretary General maintained that CORD was still firm and united, imploring the residents to support the coalition in the 2017 polls to bring about accountability of public resources.
“We [CORD coalition] are together and we will remain together in 2017,” he said. “We are ready to remove the corrupt government from power to put in place an accountable leadership that will address myriad problems facing Kenyans like poverty and unemployment, and the thorny squatter issue,” he added.
