A sense of unease has gripped outgoing Cabinet Secretaries as they wait for President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto to unveil their cabinet structure.
They will be hoping that they will be retained to serve in the digital duo's second-term administration.
As the agonising wait continues, Tharaka Nithi senator Kindiki Kithure has opted to be generous by offering crucial, albeit, unsolicited pieces of advice that might just help the anxious CSs retain their plum jobs.
''Those who are interested could lobby but if you ask me, not loudly. It might even work against them. They can jostle, and express interest, and lobby but quietly.'' Senator Kindiki Kithure said.
Insiders have intimated that the list of nominees could be unveiled next week for parliament to begin the vetting process.
Opposition legislators have made their intention to boycott the process public.
