Garissa senator Yusuf Haji  has pleaded with residents to endorse President Uhuru Kenyatta’s second term on August 8.

Addressing supporters in Garissa Town on Monday, Haji said that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government deserves re-election for the progressive development it has achieved in the last four and half years.

The senator said that the country will realize transformative development if Jubilee wins re-election.

Senator Haji asked residents not to listen to the opposition, saying the Raila Odinga led NASA has nothing to give to Kenyans.

“We must support UhuRuto’s re-election if we want to see development as North Eastern residents,” he said.

Haji rubbished a section of opposition politician’s claims that North Eastern will vote for NASA in the  August 8 polls.

He said that NASA has done nothing for the region to  be vote for. “Raila Odinga and his people should not expect any votes from Northern Kenyan because residents have decided its Jubilee,” he said.

Senator Haji,  who is seeking re-election on Jubilee party ticket  urged residents to remain focused and vote for leaders who will bring development.

The senator at the same time asked residents to remain peaceful and avoid politicians peddling propaganda.
