Garisa Senator's son Noordin Haji on Tuesday April 3, officially took over office as the new Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The former National Intelligence Service Deputy Director (NIS), Counter intelligence, took over office from the current Environment Cabinet Secretary, Keriako Tobiko.
Mr. Haji visited the offices at the ODPP where he met with the staff at the offices and pledged support to the members after Tobiko handed over the team he described as competent.

Mr. Noordin Haji is a professional lawyer.
He was National Intelligence Service (NIS) Deputy Director, Counter Intelligence.
Worked at the office of attorney general before moving to NIS.
Mr. Haji takes over as DPP at such a time when there are so many prosecution cases to be tackled.
He however, accepted that there were many challenges but promised to work with other investigative arms to improve efficiency. He as well promised to ensure cooperation with the investigative arms.
"I will redirect the operations of the DPP to ensure more cooperation, especially with investigative arms," said Mr. Haji during his vetting.
