A senator has expressed his disappointment with parties which dissolved to form the Jubilee Party.
West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo said the decision to fold up the parties was ill-advised and aimed at benefiting individual politicians.
This follows reports that over 10 Embu legislators led by Senator Lenny Kivuti had ditched the Jubilee Party for Governor Alfred Mutua's Maendeleo Chap Chap citing mistrust and being sidelined in the party's affairs.
Consequently, Lonyangapuo says the crisis in Jubilee is as a result of the merger.
He, however, dismissed claims that Kanu is already in NASA noting that secretary general Nick Salat’s decision to attend Saturday's opposition rally in Bomet was personal and did not represent the party.
“Gideon Moi who is the party leader is not in NASA, neither am I. Salat went to Bomet as an individual,” he said on Monday.
Kanu has been strongly linked with a move to join NASA and are expected to announce their stand on the political sphere during a delegates’ meeting this week.
