With the Cord coalition flag bearer question threatening to tear the opposition outfit apart, Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang has accused Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula of over bothering Raila Odinga to endorse them.
Many political pundits are foreseeing an imminent break-up of the coalition before 2017 elections with the latest name-calling drama by the coalition co-principals signalling deep conflict within the arrangement.
However, speaking in Likuyani market during the official opening of a resource centre on Monday, Kajwang said it's not fair for Kalonzo and Wetangula to expect endorsement for the top seat from Raila yet they are doing nothing to popularise the coalition.
"Raila cannot be traversing the entire country popularising his candidature yet other leaders only pull chairs and call press conferences in Nairobi to demand that he (Raila) endorses them for the top job. That is not fair by any standard. Let every leader sell himself and hunt for votes," Kajwang said.
The coalition co-principals have always downplayed the differences bwtween them.
This comes at a time when the ruling Jubilee coalition has displayed insatiable appetite to make inroads in the regions which have traditionally supported Raila.
