Uasin Gishu Senator Prof. Margaret Kamar will on Thursday give an address to the county assembly.

This will be her first address to the County Assembly since she won the August 8 polls by a landslide.She replaced Isaac Melly who lost during the Jubilee party primaries.

According to the Assembly's communication department, Prof. Kamar will giver her maiden address beginning 2.30pm.

"Prof. Kamar will be addressing the County Assembly on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 2:30 pm. This is a public event, your presence will be highly appreciated," read a brief communication from the Assembly shared to the media.

The agenda of the address remains unknown but constitutionally, a Senator who represents the interests of the County at the Senate is allowed to address the County Assembly.

Since her election, Prof. Kamar has been advocating for a close working relationship between all elected leaders in the county so as to ensure success in devolution.
