ODM nominated Senator Janet Ong’era says Kenya suffers from poor leadership due to voter registration apathy.

Speaking on Thursday during a voter registration campaign, Ong'era urged registered voters to make their vote 'effective' by electing sound mind leaders.

“We have suffered from poor leadership for long because of voter apathy,” she said.

“We have to make good use of our voting cards by electing trusted leaders. It will add no value if we do not turn up during election day," she added

Ong'era also challenged IEBC to ensure voter register is audited to avoid double registration that could lead to possible rigging of elections.
