Mandera Senator Billow Kerrow has urged residents to ignore calls by Jubilee and other politicians asking them to vote six-piece in the August 8 polls.

Kerrow says that Governor Ali Roba and other politicians calling for six piece voting have no right to tell residents on they should vote for or not vote for.

Senator Kerrow states that residents and Kenyans should be left to make their own independent decisions on who they want to vote for in the August 8 polls.

According to the senator, politicians calling and campaigning for six-piece voting are violating the democratic right and space of Kenyans.

“Governor Roba and others who are calling for six-piece voting pattern should know that they cannot force Kenyans to vote for particular leaders,” he said.

Kerrow asked Kenyans to be wary of politicians they want to elect saying that some are only out to fulfill their personal agendas and not to serve.

He said that Kenyans have to be wise and avoid being duped by selfish and selfless politicians.

The senator also cautioned Kenyans against politician’s handouts saying it is dangerous and immoral.

Kerrow also asked Mandera residents to vote for change on August 8.

He said that the current leadership by Governor Roba has performed poorly.

Senator Kerrow and Roba have been differing publicly with the senator accusing the governor of disrespecting residents and elders.

Kerrow claims that Roba is running the county government like his personal affair and does not consult anyone.

Roba on the other hand accuses Kerrow of inciting residents against his government.

Governor Roba is seeking re-election on Jubilee ticket but faces stiff competition from former provision Commissioner Noor Hassan Noor who is vying on Economic Freedom Party.
