Kerrow says Noor has the potential of transforming the county in terms of development if elected.
Addressing supporters in Mandera Town on Wednesday, Kerrow, who has fallen out with incumbent governor Ali Roba said that Noor has the experience to address the issues facing residents.
He said that the former PC has a well understanding of the social, economic and political challenges facing residents and given a chance he will provide solutions.
The senator said that Mandera people have not benefited from governor Roba’s leadership.
‘‘Mandera needs a governor who will listen to the people concerns and needs without discrimination and that person can only be Hassan Noor Hassan’’ he said as quoted by the Standard.
Kerrow asked residents not to be swayed by Roba’s ‘fake’ re-election promises.
The claimed that governor Roba has failed to unite the communities living in Mandera. He also accused Roba’s government of discrimination and selectivity in distribution of public resources.
He claimed that sub counties within the county have bene completely side-lined by Reba’s administration.
Kerrow and Roba have bene engaging in public jibes with the governor accusing the senator of dividing the county on tribal lines.
Roba has strongly criticised and opposed Kerrow’s Economic Freedom Party (EFP) saying it is a tool to divide locals.
Governor Roba is seeking-election on Jubilee party ticket but faces stiff competition from Hassan Noor Hassan who is contesting on EFP.
