Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale has lost his brother.

Mr Khalwale on his official Twitter account said his brother, Gaeb Ashiono Khalwale, collapsed at Eldoret Hospital.

"Capt(R) Gaeb Ashiono Khalwale, 58, collapsed and died at Eldoret Hospital," the Senator said on Friday.

"RIP, my dear elder brother."

The late Ashiono, a pilot, was until his death a lecturer at Moi University School of Aerospace Science.

There were no details of whether he had any ailment(s) by the time of his death or not.
