Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has accused Baringo Senator Gideon Moi of denying Rift Valley leaders a chance to visit the retired president Daniel Arap Moi.
Kositany says Moi was everyone’s president and therefore anyone has a right to visit him.
“It's sad that the Baringo Senator has denied North Rift leaders led by Deputy President William Ruto a chance to visit the retired president despite numerous attempts for over 3 years now,” said the Soy legislator in Ziwa on Monday.
The MP wondered why Senator Moi accepted the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to visit Mzee Moi whereas denying the local leaders.
“The retired President had a heart for all Kenyans and we don’t know where Gideon got his. We want him to give us the appointment to see Mzee Moi,” added Kositany.
He, however, called upon Kenyans to elect a president who has a poor background and not from Moi, Kenyatta or Odinga families in the 2022 general elections.
The MP who is serving his first term further reiterated their support to the DP Ruto saying they will campaign for him door to door to ensure that he clinches the presidency.
“We cannot allow a person to be president just because his father was the president. As leaders from this region, we will only have one candidate and that is William Ruto,” noted the Soy legislator.
