This is according to a new poll released by Infotrak barely a month after the same institution released governors’ rating.

The county residents took the poll ratings to the social media where many congratulated their senator while others asking him to continue working hard to be ranked position one countrywide next time.

Senator Muthama who was leading in Kamba land was position 12 nationwide with 55.7% followed by Kitui Senator David Musila who was position 16 nationwide with 54.9% and third was the Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr who was position 22 nationwide with 51.8%.

In the polls results which were released on Monday, West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo led nationwide with 74.5% followed by Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko with 67.8% and closing the three best category was Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangaula with 67.1%.

The polls which were based on performance sought from area residents in the counties the leaders come from and the question asked was “In a scale of 1-10 how do you rate your senator?"

Senators either on Tuesday at the senate attacked the report terming it as a popularity survey than a performance one.

Wajir Senator Abdirahman Hassan who moved the motion in the senate claimed that the question asked by Infotrak was made in favour of some senators.

“This is more of a popularity assessment rather than a performance assessment,” said Senator Hassan.
