The change of tune by Muthama will boost Ndeti’s election bid ahead of the August general elections. In an exclusive interview with Musyi FM, Muthama said that Ndeti is better than Mutua when it comes to administering Machakos County.

At the start of the interview, he discredited both the candidates after terming the nominations of Kalonzo’s party shambolic but later said that it is better to work with Ndeti than Mutua.

“Wavinya is better than Mutua, reason being we know her family, we know where she comes from and that is why she is way better than Mutua,” he said, as quoted by Nairobi News.

The Machakos Governorship race is expected to be a tough contest following the new development. Both Mutua and Ndeti have hit the campaign trails as they seek for support ahead of the polls.

The two leaders are banking on their performance scoreboard and party support to win the seat when that time comes.
