Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has condemned government officials; Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang'i and Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet for failing to adhere to court orders.
Through his Twitter account on Thursday, the seemingly angered lawyer questioned the two government officials on benefits they obtain from disobeying court orders.
Extending his condemnations, he questioned the two on why they wouldn't let renowned opposition activist and lawyer Miguna Miguna enjoy his fundamental rights as a Kenyan citizen.
"Of what benefit is it to the Government of Kenya to show Contempt and utter disregard for the Court and the fundamental rights of Miguna Miguna ? Is Fred Matiangi and the IG above the law?Are these signs of a Rogue Nation?" He wrote.
This follows after Boinnet and Matiang'i defied two subsequent court orders to appear before the courts for sentencing after they failed to free Miguna Miguna out of JKIA even after the same court legally declared Miguna a Kenyan citizen.
The disobedience to court of law is becoming rampant in the country today, the courts seem not to be mounted any respect basing on the latest series of events where the government through its officials blatantly snob court orders.
