Kilonzo unlike other NASA leaders applauded Odinga's decision citing that it is the hall mark of a different Kenya.

In a phone interview with this writer, Mutula said Raila has the country's interest at heart and selfishness is not his dictionary.

“Everything Raila does is for the benefit of the country so no one should judge or condemn him," Kilonzo said.

He said Raila's pledge to work together with Uhuru isn't an indication that he will no longer criticize the government if it fails to work accordingly.

“Raila Odinga is still the opposition leader and holding talks with President Uhuru isn't a sign of betrayal," Kilonzo said.

However, the Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo said Raila has a case to explain with other principals and his people.

Maanzo said Raila should have an explanation to other NASA co-principals since he made the decision without involving them.

He said the meeting is a sign of disrespect to the other NASA principals.

Maanzo said the NASA coalition will meet soon and Raila will be expected to talk about today's move.
