Speaking on Radio Citizen Wednesday, Mutula took issue with Matiang'i's attacks on judges on Tuesday, cautioning him against overlooking the judicial arm of the government.

While appearing before the National Assembly committee on national security, over the recent detention and deportation of National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader Miguna Miguna, the CS accused judges of collaborating with opposition-friendly quarters to humiliate the government, by granting each of their wishes aimed at stalling the state's operations.

He accused a section of judges of siding with the opposition, with regards to his recent punishment by High Court Judge George Odunga for disregarding several court orders demanding his appearance in court, claims that did not go down well with Mutula.

''He has to show some respect to independent bodies and other arms of the government and stop behaving like he owns this country. He should know that his position does not place him above the law,'' retorted the senator who also constitutes Miguna's legal team.

With Miguna having raised claims of being sedated before being deported to Dubai, Mutula noted that Matiang'i is set for more trouble should the claims be proved.

''It is internationally illegal to fly a person without their will and Miguna's sedation claims, upon their verification, will put Matiang'i in an even harder situation,'' he said.
