Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge has renewed his war of words with Deputy President William Ruto over his 2022 presidential ambitions.
The senator shot to the limelight last year when he told Ruto to forget his ambitions of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta. He told the DP that he will not automatically get the support of Mt Kenya region voters.
The senator is now accusing the DP of systematically locking out politicians from Central Kenya and Rift Valley whom he perceives as his enemies.
Njoroge claims that Celtral Kenya residents and leaders are re-thinking supporting his presidential bid come 2022.
He made the remarks while addressing the press in Naivasha, according to The Standard.
"We saw that senior politicians from Central and Rift Valley who are opposed to Ruto were rigged out of the just concluded Jubilee primaries as part of the ongoing plan," he said.
The senator claims that the DP has resorted to using government agencies to antagonize those opposed to his style of leadership.
Njoroge is eyeing the Nakuru governor seat on a Kanu ticket.
