Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge has revealed that he will be vying as running mate during the 2022 general election.
In an interview with a local daily, Njoroge said that he will first vie for the Nakuru gubernatorial seat before seeking the second most top office.
“I will serve as governor for the five years to prove that it is possible to have a corrupt-free leader. Thereafter, I will be a running mate in 2022, for a presidential candidate whom I don’t know at the moment,” he said. He, however, indicated that he was not sure of the candidate he will deputise at that time.
Njoroge sentiments come at a time when he was captured on video shooting in the air after a confrontation over ownership of a petrol station in Naivasha.
He said he was defending himself.
“I never fought with anyone. I could not run because I have a disability. I had to fire in the air to scare the goons,” he said
