Mombasa Women Representative Mishi Mboko has hit out at Senator Hassan Omar, terming him President Uhuru Kenyatta's project.

Speaking at Mvita grounds on Sunday, Mboko claimed that Omar's entry into the Mombasa gubernatorial race is suspicious. The vocal MP claimed that Omar is being used by the current Jubilee regime to frustrate Governor Hassan Joho, who she says has been fighting for the interests of Mombasa residents."Huyu Sarai amesimamishwa na Uhuru. Mwanaume kamili hujisimamisha sio kusimamishwa," she said.Mboko who is also the ODM candidate for the Likoni MP seat said Joho will clinch the seat. She asked the Governor’s rivals to prepare for a humiliating defeat in the August 8 polls. While advocating for the six-piece voting pattern, Mboko said Raila Odinga who is the NASA presidential flag bearer will need numbers in both houses of parliament to be able to execute his duties if he forms the next government.Omar has in the past denied allegations of being a Jubilee project.
