Kisii Senator Prof. Sam Ongeri has urged the police to heed to Judiciary's directive and release self proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) 'general' Miguna Miguna.Prof. Ongeri has further hit out at the police over what he termed as total disregard of the law after Miguna remained in police custody despite court's order to have him freed on bond.Speaking at the Kisii Law court buildings on Monday, Ongeri said it was unlawful for the police to detain Miguna Miguna for over three days without being arraigned in court."I am not in supportive of the police for negating the court order issued last week and on my humble plea I would like them to release Miguna so that he can be arraigned in court where justice matter a lot," Ongeri said.The NASA allied Senator's sentiments comes at a time High Court Judge Luka Kimaru has issued orders for the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinet and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (CID) boss to appear in court, in person and also present Miguna Miguna.
