Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko slapped an extra charge against nominated senator Paul Njoroge adding to the charges he already faces.

The senator was arraigned in Naivasha law courts facing a charge of carrying firearms while being disorderly.  

The charge sheet read “Senator Paul Njoroge on February 7 2017, at Naivasha View Petrol Station, behaved in a disorderly manner while carrying a pistol.”

The charge sheet also noted that “Senator Paul Njoroge shot towards Vivo Energy Kenya personnel who had come to repossess the petrol station”

The senator who represents the disabled was represented by his lawyer Francis Mburu who denied the new charge before Naivasha Chief Magistrate Dominica Nyambu.

The case will be heard next on May 15, 2017.
